Destin, FL (June 23, 2010)– October and beer go hand-in-hand and Sandestin is celebrating this hoppy beverage with the 2^nd annual Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival at Sandestin® Golf and Beach Resort on Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 2-6 p.m. For those who want to brew up a weekend getaway, Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers a “Buy Two Nights Get One Free” special package.

Known as the “Best Beer Fest on the Emerald Coast,” the popular festival features 40 on-site craft brewers, over 100 domestic and international beers, seminars and samplings and live music.  Beer novices to beer lovers will be able to sample domestic and international options, including specialty, seasonal and not-yet-released beers.

 Harpoon Brewery, Gordash Brewing, Sweetwater Brewery, Warsteiner Imports, Abita Brewing and Great Divide Brewery are just a few of the featured breweries where brew masters will explore the characteristics of different lagers and ales.

In addition to the beer festival, a beer seminar will be offered Friday, October 22^nd for $15 per person. This more intimate setting will include an informative session on the many types of different beers and a sampling of several specialty beers as a preview for Saturday’s event.  

 Festival tickets go on sale August 1, 2010 for a reduced price of $20 per person through October 22, 2010. Tickets can be purchased after October 22 for $25. Special pricing for groups is also available. Tickets may be purchased at www.baytownewharfbeerfest.com.
